Product comparisons

Two popular products, side by side: ingredients, additives and nutrition.

Maggi Masala vs Yippee Magic Masala NoodlesMaggi Masala and Yippee Magic Masala are India's two best-selling masala instant noodles. Per 100 g as printed on the packs, Maggi has less sodium (1,000 mg vs 1,247 mg), less total fat (12.5 g vs 20.1 g) and less saturated fat (8.2 g vs 10.7 g), while Yippee has slightly more protein (9 g vs 8.2 g). Yippee also carries more energy: 459 kcal against 384 kcal. Both are maida noodles fried in palm oil with a separate masala tastemaker, and their flavour enhancers are effectively the same: Yippee lists INS 627 and 631, and Maggi lists INS 635, which is a blend of those two. Yippee's "added veggies" are dehydrated beans, carrot, onion and cabbage, about a quarter of the masala sachet rather than of the whole pack.
