In India, cosmetics are regulated by CDSCO under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and the Cosmetics Rules, 2020, which require the ingredient list on the label. Products here come from retailer listings and from labels scanned by TrustPick users.
Each product page lists the full ingredient list as printed, and, once analysed, each ingredient’s status under the cosmetic rules of India, the EU, the US and Canada, with the reason for anything flagged.
Worth checking on the label
- Fragrance and preservatives, the usual triggers for sensitive skin
- Ingredients that are restricted to certain concentrations or product types (rinse-off versus leave-on)
