Terms of use

These terms govern your use of trustpick.app and the TrustPick mobile app ("TrustPick", "we", "us"), operated by [Legal entity name — fill in]. By using TrustPick, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What TrustPick is — not medical or regulatory advice

TrustPick scans product labels and barcodes and gives you an independent, AI-assisted ingredient safety analysis, cross-checked against FSSAI, FDA, EFSA, and WHO reference standards, for consumer education and decision support. It is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or regulatory advice, and no verdict, score, or callout in the app should be read as a medical claim or diagnosis. Always check the physical product label and consult a qualified professional before making health or dietary decisions.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create a TrustPick account. If you're under the age required to consent to your own data processing where you live, a parent or guardian should use TrustPick on your behalf.

Accounts and free/guest use

You can use TrustPick as a guest with a limited number of free scans, or sign in with Google for a higher free-tier limit and to sync your history and favorites across devices. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.

TrustPick Plus (subscriptions)

TrustPick Plus is an optional paid subscription that raises your monthly scan limit and unlocks the TrustPick Health Score. Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store (processed via our payments partner, RevenueCat) at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase, and auto-renew until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Google Play or App Store account settings — cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the current billing period, except where required by law or store policy. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change with notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use TrustPick for any unlawful purpose, or to submit false or misleading product information
• Attempt to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent rate limits or paywalls on our services or APIs
• Scrape, bulk-extract, or resell TrustPick's product database or analysis results without our written permission
• Upload content you don't have the right to share, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property

Product data accuracy

Product information comes from a combination of user scans, third-party data providers, and TrustPick's own AI analysis. Manufacturers change formulations and labels without notice, and AI-read text can occasionally be wrong — where our data is incomplete or uncertain, we try to say so rather than presenting assumptions as fact, but you should always verify against the physical product, especially for allergens or medical concerns. If you notice an error, let us know.

Advertising & affiliate links

Some product pages include advertising and affiliate purchase links. See our advertising & affiliate disclosure for details. Advertising never influences TrustPick's independent scoring or analysis.

Intellectual property

TrustPick's app, website, branding, and the presentation of our analysis are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Product names, images, and trademarks referenced in scan results belong to their respective owners. We don't grant you any rights to TrustPick's branding or underlying software beyond what's needed to use the app for its intended purpose.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

TrustPick is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, TrustPick, including decisions made based on an ingredient analysis. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be excluded under applicable law.

Termination

You can stop using TrustPick and request account deletion at any time (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms, including abuse of our free tier or third-party API quotas.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as TrustPick changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes, we'll provide a more prominent notice (such as an in-app message). Continued use of TrustPick after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction — fill in, e.g. India], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law in your country requires otherwise.
