Baby Care in India
Baby food, feeding and baby skincare, with ingredients checked and flags for anything worth a closer look.
About baby care in India
In India, infant formula and other infant foods are covered by FSSAI’s Foods for Infant Nutrition regulations, which set composition and labelling requirements beyond the general food rules. Products here come from retailer listings and from labels scanned by TrustPick users.
Product pages list the ingredients and nutrition as printed and, once analysed, the regulatory context for each ingredient, with anything relevant to young children called out separately. Rules for infant products are among the strictest in every market, and they don’t always agree, so each flagged ingredient shows which regulator restricts it and why.
Worth checking on the label
- Added sugars and salt, which infant-food rules restrict
- The age the product is labelled for
- Allergens, and fragrance in baby skincare
