About medicine & health in India
In India, medicines are regulated by CDSCO, and Ayurvedic, Siddha, Unani and homoeopathic products by the Ministry of AYUSH; nutraceuticals and health supplements fall under FSSAI. Products here come from retailer listings and from labels scanned by TrustPick users.
Product pages list the active and inactive ingredients as printed, and, once analysed, the regulatory context for each. TrustPick doesn’t give dosing or medical advice; that belongs to the label and your pharmacist or doctor. Where an ingredient is treated differently across India, the EU, the US and Canada, the product page shows each market separately.
Worth checking on the label
- The active ingredient and its strength, so you don’t double up across two products
- Inactive ingredients such as colours, sweeteners or lactose if you need to avoid them
- Supplement claims, which are not reviewed the way medicine claims are
