About supplements & vitamins in India
In India, health supplements and nutraceuticals are regulated by FSSAI as foods, and their labels must say they are not for medicinal use. Ayurvedic and other AYUSH medicines are regulated separately as medicines, and TrustPick doesn’t review those. Products here come from retailer listings and from labels scanned by TrustPick users.
Product pages list the ingredients as printed, including capsule shells, sweeteners and flavours, and, once analysed, the regulatory status of each under the supplement and food rules of India, the EU, the US and Canada. TrustPick doesn’t review medicines or give dosing advice: the label and your doctor or pharmacist come first.
Worth checking on the label
- The amount per serving against the recommended daily usage on the label, so you don’t double up across two products
- Sweeteners, colours, and gelatine or fish-derived capsules if you avoid them
- Health claims, which aren’t checked the way medicine claims are
